Jerry Rogers authored this book after many years of silence following the disturbing events outlined here. He had been trained and educated in the USAF to undertake intelligence work and had succeeded well with reviews and career achievements. A graduate student while he mistakenly became a target of Kissinger and Nixon’s effort to destroy Daniel Ellsberg after his release of “The Pentagon Papers”, the threat and intimidation he experienced had him gravely fearing for his life and that of his family. No acknowledgement aside from private telephone correspondence with the President was ever made of the “cover up” of errors which came to be known as “the Grave National Security Matter. With his career progress effectively halted in the U.S. military, Dr. Rogers pursued a career in education and taught at a variety of universities before a long career at California State Polytechnic University in Claremont, California.
